“We are looking to create a staff of people with an adventurous mentality as we are not just a magazine blog we are also a documentary”.

Every issue is designed behind a theme that relates to either the atomphere of the time or topic thats goes with culture. As this The Last Issue theme was  “Bubbling Deep Underground” focusing on telling about all the projects and work people have been doing unseen.

This Issue themes like “We are Mutants” going of the Marvel  X-men Underground outcast super heroes theme.

We encourage our writers to write about what you like while sticking to the theme of the issue; we are fans to the artist and subjects we write about; without being basis but honest and supporting. We are a family collective in the underground and we reflect that in hip obscene.

We are looking for people how are willing to be apart of a learn as we grow. We stand by this and give people the opportunity to experiment, grow and learn. The underground culture is a constant learning experience; due the fact it is always growing.

We do not critically judge people without putting constructive growth suggestions on the subject matter. In the 70’s and 80’s of underground culture there was no heavy criticism; do to the fact that everybody knew people were experimenting with something new. We stand by this and give people the opportunity to experiment, grow and learn. The underground culture is a constant learning experience; due the fact it is always growing. This is why we maintain documentation to keep capturing the moment clearly so it can be pass on. We don’t see Hip Obscene as just a magazine but the opportunity to maintain on going Documentary that we are all apart of.
